Making knowledge searchable should not make it less safe.
Aftcezz is built to add a search layer over your existing tools without weakening the controls around them. Here is what is stored, how it is protected, and how access is enforced - stated plainly, without overclaiming.
What is stored, and for how long.
Document data
Connections are read-only. The hub builds a searchable index of the content your connecting account can access, so answers can cite the exact passage. Source documents stay in their original tools - Aftcezz never writes back to them.
Query data
Questions and generated answers are retained to power your history and follow-up context. They are scoped to your workspace and are not used to train shared models across organizations.
Retention and removal
Disconnecting a source removes its indexed content from the hub. When a workspace is closed, its indexed content and query history are scheduled for deletion.
Encryption
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Traffic between you, the hub and each connected source travels over encrypted connections, and indexed content is encrypted where it is stored.
- Encrypted in transit across all connections
- Encrypted at rest for indexed content and stored data
The permission-mirroring guarantee
Access in the hub follows access in the source. If a person cannot open a document in Notion, Drive, Confluence or SharePoint, that document will not appear in their answers here. Permission changes in the source carry through to what the hub will surface.
- Access resolved per person against each source
- Restricted documents are never quoted to those without access
Compliance posture, stated honestly
We describe only where we actually are, not where we would like to sound. Our security practices are built around least-privilege access, encryption and permission mirroring. We do not claim certifications we have not completed. If your organization has a specific compliance requirement or needs to run a security review, talk to us and we will share current documentation and status directly.
